Chef cooking over open fire on the parrilla, seen from the private dining table at Panorama Club

Fireto Table

An evening built around an open fire, a table set with intent, and a chef working in front of your guests.

Your guests know before they are through the door

The invitation begins outside. Smoke carries from the club out across the street, and by the time anyone reaches the entrance the evening has already introduced itself.

  1. The arrival

The aroma of smoked meats and traditional fire cooking carries out to the street. Nobody needs to be told what is waiting inside.

  2. The door

It opens on warmth, low light and the sound of the fire settling, with members and their guests stepping into an evening at a higher level.

  3. The fire

The chef is already at the parrilla, coals raked, grates cranked down, meat over flame in full view of the room.

  4. The table

Tables dressed the afternoon of, flowers cut from whatever is in season, and a printed menu at every place with the guest's name on it. Courses arrive straight from the coals.

Everything comes off the coals

We cook over wood and charcoal on an Argentinian parrilla, with adjustable grates worked by hand through the night. Nothing is plated in a back kitchen out of sight. The theatre is part of the meal, and it is judged as closely as the food.

The menu is built with you, around the occasion and what the fire is doing well that week. Courses are paced across the evening rather than rushed out, and dietary needs are handled properly, not apologetically.

  • To startSmall things off the grate while guests are still standing, passed as they come up.
  • EntréeLighter cuts, seafood or vegetables taken quickly over high flame.
  • MainsSlow-smoked and open-fire meats, hours in the making, carved at the table. Vegetables cooked whole in the embers alongside them.
  • AlongsideBreads, sauces and salads made to cut through the smoke.
  • DessertSomething sweet to close the table, then a whiskey or a limoncello by the fire while the coals burn down.

The room

A private dining space inside the club, set apart from the floor, with the fire in view and the city beyond it. Held for members and their guests: your occasion, our team running it.

Nothing about the setting is left to the last minute. Linen, glassware and silver are laid to the same standard every time, the florals change with the season rather than sitting in a vase all year, and each place is set with its own menu, printed with the guest's name on it. Small things, but they are the first thing people notice once they sit down.

Enquire

Panorama is a private members' club. Fire to Table is for members hosting their own guests, and evenings are taken by enquiry rather than booked. Tell us the occasion, the date you have in mind and roughly how many guests, and we will come back to you.

The room is not available for public hire. Enquiries from outside the membership are still read: where an evening is business-related and of genuine interest to our members (a capital raise, a private equity or investor evening, or similar), the Panorama Committee will consider it and come back to you directly.
